Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NourishAI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

NourishAI is an AI-powered meal planning and nutrition tracking application. Features include meal logging, AI food recognition, personalized meal plans, step tracking integration, and community profile sharing.

3. Not Medical Advice

NourishAI is a nutrition tracking tool, not a medical device. The Service provides general nutritional information and meal suggestions. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes, starting a new exercise program, or if you have any medical conditions. Calorie and macro recommendations are estimates based on general formulas and may not account for individual health conditions.

4. User Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your profile information updated.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

NourishAI offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions are billed through Paddle on the web, Apple In-App Purchase on iOS, or Google Play Billing on Android.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from Profile → Premium Management. Refunds are handled by the respective payment platform's policies.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the meals, recipes, photos, and other content you create. By making your profile public, you grant NourishAI a limited license to display that content to other users through the Service.

You agree not to post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use automated means to access or scrape the Service
• Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the Service
• Impersonate others or provide false information

8. Intellectual Property

The NourishAI name, logo, and all software code, design elements, and AI models are owned by NourishAI and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NourishAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to health outcomes, weight changes, or dietary decisions made based on the Service's recommendations.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to your jurisdiction. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted by law.
